Challenge
During the research phase, it was found that for some users, being able to find recipes based on their available ingredients would be very useful, while for others, creating a meal calendar would be better. All profiles agreed on the need to find new recipes, so it was decided to prioritize this functionality.
Solution
In its free version, the application allows users to perform the prioritized functionality, searching and saving recipes. The premium version includes more recipes, as well as two additional functionalities. The main menu focuses on the search, while the other utilities, such as recipe lists and shopping lists, are located in the user profile section.
Conclusions
At the beginning of the project, there were doubts about what should be the main functionality to help users eat healthily. Should it be a meal calendar? A scanner to indicate what ingredients you have and suggest recipes? Shopping lists with healthy ingredients? User interviews were key to focusing the concept, defining navigation, prioritizing utilities, and deciding which ones should be free and which ones paid.
