Challenge

The information architecture was the most important part of the project to facilitate users in purchasing their usual products while also encouraging the discovery of new ones. It was also necessary to pay special attention to branding to convey the values of the physical space and reinforce the narrative of self-care, tranquility, exclusivity, and a preference for natural products.

Solution

To facilitate navigation, I included only access to products grouped by categories in the main menu and left more complexity for the filter, which allows selection by skin type, skin concerns, ingredients, brands, and other characteristics. The content focuses on product presentation and cross-selling, giving great importance to photographs. A magazine section was included to generate content and promote SEO positioning.

Conclusions

Having long conversations with the founders of the brand was crucial for the success of this project because they had a very clear understanding of who their customer was and what they were looking for. It was very enriching to connect with them, capture the essence of what they needed, and translate it into the designs. Focusing on the structure, without advancing until ensuring that it worked correctly, helped me a lot in not getting lost in the project and reaching the final design with confidence.
